Thanks for stopping by and visiting harvest time at DandyLand Farms 2009!
DandyLand pictures from the fall 2009 harvest season!
The DandyLand Team was ready to roll mid September but the crops and weather thought we should wait another month or two. With 9" of rain and a little snow in October and field corn at a 42% moisture level the patience of all North Iowa Grain Producers is being tested. One truth that I have learned in 28 years is that a farm boy will succeed in all matters of complication when put to the test. All works together for good for those who trust our God who created this beautiful country side!!
Now today November 7 we are enjoying 70 degrees, finished our soybean harvest and need to concentrate on finding and harvesting the driest field corn, in that order! Team DandyLand started opening up the field of corn at our home place and it is such a treasure to have everyone so close at hand. In fact we are enjoying having our 2 adult children working full time this fall and treasure this as well for a first!
DandyLand Farms welcomes Lance, Lawrence, Weston, Joslyn and Austin to our committed team for 2009 and truly appreciate the dedication and endurance of the entire DandyLand crew- Todd, Luke, Ellery, Joe, Rube and Phil !!
